Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 2:53 PMa free-flowing aquarian who sees things in terms of the "big picture", and tends to look at the minute details as "petty" with a, shall we say "anal" virgo who focuses so intently on every minute detail and needs order and perfection in every aspect of their life. i'd say there's a versus. i'm an aquarius rising with uranus conjunct sun who just survived a relationship with a virgo rising, mercury conjunct sun girl. the beauty of our scorpio and pisces suns (which is an amazing connection) wasn't nearly enough to ease the battle between our aquarian and virgo aspects. i felt assaulted by "nitpicking" every day, while she felt just as assaulted, i assume, by the "chaos" that's such an inherent part of my existence.
i would imagine the connection could be extremely powerful if it could find balance. maybe an aquarian with some virgo in their chart with a virgo with some aquarius in their chart would work, as they'd be more used to balancing those energies. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 4:03 PMHi, I'm new here. Been lurking about for a bit. A bit about me: I'm an Aqua sun, Scorp Moon, and Sag Asc. My son is Aqua sun and Virgo moon and Aqua Asc., and dated some Virgo moon folks, so I have some idea of what Virgo moon folks are like.
"maybe an aquarian with some virgo in their chart with a virgo with some aquarius in their chart would work, as they'd be more used to balancing those energies. "
I can't really speak as a Virgo moon, but I can say this: all of us have the energies of all twelve zodiacal signs and houses. How we express the energies depends on several factors.
I have dated folks who, according to astrological writings, said were compatible with me which haven't worked out, and I am with someone now who I am supposedly incompatible with. This is the best relationship I have ever had on many levels. What I've learned is to regard every relationship beyond what the "heavens" say, to know what I want in a relationship, to trust my intuition and to go with the flow. Easier said than done at times, but definitely the happiest way to exist, for me.
"the connection could be extremely powerful if it could find balance"
As with all connections.
(Not meant to be arrogant or supercilious, only to offer my .02.)

Wed, May 21, 2008 - 1:01 AMAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! NONONONONO VIRGOS!!!!!!!!
Both my parents virgos... not easy to deal with.
My bedroom always a state of creative chaos. No filth or rot, but clothes piled on the chair, books in disarray, etc. That's just how I've always been and how I continue to be.
My over-picky Virgo mother, however, always made sure to create some kind of drama out of that mess. Always telling me to clean it up. And an Aquarius, of course, NEVER likes to be told what to do. Major problems in adolescence. All because of a messy room. So stupid. -

Sat, November 1, 2008 - 7:53 AMI got 2 mutable parents myself also Supernova.... Both Sagittarians. Only planet I have in Fire is my Uranus in Sag, only thing in Air is my Jupiter in Aqua.
I got a Leo sister, and Aries brother also! I was raised in the ring of fire.... they stole my fire!
I had to deal with 2 parents that gave me too many opinions, that now I have no sense of direction. My dad has been in School for over 40 years, and my mother is a creative genius... And has been working the same job since she was 18, and it is also her first job.
They are like Night and Day compared to eachothers. Though I like Sagittarians, I just don't think they are meant to be parents. I was raised a little adult, not a child. -

Sat, November 1, 2008 - 7:59 AMI am a 12th House Leo with a Virgo Jupiter, Mercury and ASC, and an Aquarius Moon.
My mother is a Taurus, and my father was an Aquarius. I am an only child.
I, too, was raised to be a little adult, but I did not mind because I had plenty of time to myself to be a child as well. Now that I am <ahem> old-er, I seem to feel more like a child ~ as I knew childhood ~ than ever. That includes a tremendous silly streak. -

Sun, November 2, 2008 - 4:23 AMYeah.... That sums me up also!
Us Virgo risings are interesting personalities!
I got Virgo Moon in the 12th, and the ascendant. My Mercury is in Cancer, and in mutual reception to the Moon. And also conjunct to Castor in the 10th.
My dad is a War Vet... He fraught in Hamburger Hill himself. He does allot of voluntary work for the VA Hospital, and a local chapter post. Maybe Sun conjunct Mars in Cancer in the 10th? People tell me to get into the Army when they see this in my chart. Both of them are also trine to Pluto in Scorpio, sextile Moon in Virgo, and opposed Neptune in Capricorn.
My dad is a comedian type... Has a sadistic sense of humor. Got's a cazimi between Sun and Mercury in Sagittarius, opposed to Uranus in Gemini. He is too smart for his own good.... But cannot figure out simple problems.
Both my parents have Scorpio risings, with Pluto conjunct MC in Leo. I don't understand this connection too well....
My mother... Is blunt, rude, "always right", good natured :), and she has a Scottish accent too. one of them people born with blue eyes black hair. In her chart she has Sun, Moon, and Saturn all unaspected. She settled in life right away.
When I moved away from the family, years back. I now start feeling semi-close to my age. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Sun, November 2, 2008 - 6:19 AMWe have quite a few things in common, you & I.
My father was a career Air Force officer and a veteran of WWII. My mother used to be always right. LOL. But now at 85, she concedes a few things now and then. Her father was Scottish, and she is likewise blue-eyed with dark hair, although it was bondish when she was a child. Her sister had the black eyes and dark brown hair of the Douglases. I do not know either of my parents' rising signs. I have posted their charts anyway.
They both have their Sun and Mercury in their natal signs of Aquarius and Taurus, respectively. My father's chart features an almost perfectly upright kite. Virgo seems to mitigate all three of us in greater and lesser degrees, most prominently with me. Both of my parents have their Neptune in Leo, my Sun sign.
My father had a Cancer Moon ~ my Venus is in Cancer and my Moon in Aquarius. It is sort of odd. I have always been closer to my mother because we have spent so much time together; but on a more nonverbal level, my father and I were more alike. The times we had real issues with each other were about my mother.
As for Sagittarians ~ I was close to a Sagittarian uncle ~ my father's slightly older brother. He had a most unpleasant side that would rear up now and then. I find Sag in general to have at least a kind of prickly side. I like them in small doses.
My mother and I are playful with each other, and I recently found out that I remind her of her (older) sister, who was a Capricorn. Frankly, I think I am nothing like my aunt, and this is just projected nostalgia ~ perhaps a bit of that Leo Neptune she and my father shared romancing a dream. LOL.

She drove me crazy and I always felt trapped and all alone, I have moved a 1000 miles away from her, I hate her and still miss her and love her all at the same time and it's been over three months since I last saw her or even talked with her, I feel like there's this spell on me and no matter what I do I can't seem to get her out of my mind. Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, October 28, 2008 - 5:25 PMNot knowing much about astrology in the past, and just starting to learn now, I find it fascinating to step back and realize:
In love;
Most of my long-term relationships (in the first 1/2 of my love life), were Virgos - it just happened that way.
My worst relationships have been with Virgos; extreme emotional connect, and extreme emotional co-dependency and dysfunction.
I wouldn't NOT consider dating a Virgo, but I'd be a lot more aware of warning signs and red flags.
Most more recent relationships have inadvertently been with Libras - it just happened that way.
My best relationships have been with Libras; usually for as long as they can handle my quirks, and I can handle their sometime seeming indifference, but definitely more soul-mate potentials than any other sign. I have to watch signs for co-dependency too, but communication about it is much easier with Libras, and that helps.
In family, my mother is a virgo - and we have always struggled with our relationship.
My son is a Libra, and my daughter is a Pisces. I tend to over-communicate with both of them, but maybe that's just a parenting thing....

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Fri, October 31, 2008 - 8:18 PMI got Jupiter in Aquarius myself.... With Uranus in Sagittarius.... mutual reception (Both are singleton, only Air and Fire sign respectively) My 6th house is ruled by Aquarius.
I'm a Cancer Sun, with a Virgo Moon, Cancer Mercury, Virgo Rising.
The main difference I see is Virgo just tells it like it is, without placing any judgment, they lay all the cards out on the table. Sometimes they talk with so much detail that they can come off judgmental. And Virgos are extremely sensitive and emotional under their exterior. I believe that Virgo is linked towards nurturing. It rules over the storing of the nutrients in your body. Virgo also rules over divorce. Virgos main principle is to take two things, and discriminate between them, as Gemini brings 2 together as one. Virgo even rules over slavery.
Aquarius rules over friendship. They need companionship, and social contact. Virgos can hide themselves in their houses for weeks. Also Aquarians like to lesson to a drummer of their own, Virgo on the other hand doesn't mind taking orders. Aquarius might be attracted to Virgo because they represent everything that they don't stand for, structure. Virgos are sponges when it comes to knowledge, and what they remember, usually is in detail, and creditable.
Virgos help out allot of people just to feel the need of service. Virgo has to feel wanted. Aquarius on the other hand, likes independence and expressing freedom. From Virgo, Aquarius is the 6th sign.... Work.
From Aquarius, Virgo is the 8th sign. Death/Mystery
That means in plain terms that there is usually a fascination on Aquarius part, and work on Virgos part. Virgo's are very intellectual.... though I belive that Virgo is more connected to the Earth, then what modern astrology likes to give it. I meet allot of Virgo potheads.... That kind of come off like Scorpios.... Ironically enough. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Fri, October 31, 2008 - 8:38 PMI see Virgos and Aquarians with each others quite often. And the theme I see is Virgo and Aquarius both try to prove their valid points to each others.... If Virgo sees any flaws, they point it out.
Aquarius might forget some details, and try to bring the message across. Virgo will point it out. It looks like Aquarius likes to push Virgos buttons, and put them in the spotlight more-so. Virgo can handle it just well. Like above, I feel Virgo isn't all related to the mental sphere. I belive that some of the goddesses may have a part. The Greeks give Virgo the rulership over Ceres, Persephone, Vesta, and in Esoteric Astrology the Moon. Now Virgo is represented purely by goddesses, with Mercury as the planet ruler.
I believe that Virgos need emotional push. Even if they don't like it, because they usually got a treasure chest of knowledge hidden. Coming after Leo, Virgo doesn't have the need to be in the spotlight. Thats why they can be under-achievers, and live by their means. When you get them to reveal an emotional character, and are comfortable..... They give excellent advice. Virgos are the best people to go to if a friend or family member died. Virgos are built to bring order out of chaos. It is the only sign that is able to think out emotions (feminine Mercury), basically able to make an emotion out of a thought.
And this is usually why they have high stung nerves.... bounce back between both them realms!
Aquarius to me, seem to make themselves more noticeable. Don't like too much personal contact. Treat the world wonderfully, but not so much on the home front. Aquarius isn't known as a sign of tradition. From a Virgos perspective.... Virgo sees Aquarius as someone who goes out of their way to be different. If the Virgo has a Libra Venus, they will have an eye for patterns, and more then likely be interested in designing. I belive that Mercury in Virgo, Vs Mercury in Aquarius would be a disaster, as Virgo Mercury is known as being too smart for its own good, and Aquarius Mercury is quick, intuitive judgment.
Virgo likes abuse though.... They are good at being uncomfortable, so they cannot stop changing all the time..... It is a mutable sign. -
-
Re: aquarius vs virgos
Sat, November 1, 2008 - 8:09 AM<basically able to make an emotion out of a thought. >
And, also, perhaps, able to make a thought out of an emotion. Hence Virgo's particular brand of detachment.
Two things ~ You give Aquarius a bit of a thrashing. When mitigated by a even a little water, it is loyal and devoted, particulary to family, which for some might be a community.
Actually Virgo does not like abuse at all. It totally gums up the argument. They can stand up to it, but it really does a number on the blood pressure. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Sat, November 1, 2008 - 8:27 AMIm sorry if I was hard on the Aquarius. Didn't mean to come off that way.
When I read it this morning.... I asked myself if it was the other way around, with thoughts and emotions.
I never really connected Family with Aquarius.... Because it supposedly is the opposite of Cancer, as in no relationship. My personal bias that I have towards Aquarius, is that allot of Aquarian Mothers I know, treat their friends like gold.... Family is a completely different situation. I have seen Aquarius use family as social tool before. Like my Aunt for instance, had 15 children, Aquarius Sun.... Following her Catholic belief. She doesn't remember half her children names.
I do got a close Aqua friend who adopts children....But same thing as my aunt...collected a whole bunch. Aquarius does rule over adoption,
I know too many Virgos that accept being walked all over by their bosses, or people who they see have higher authority. Virgos need something to complain about or there would be no meaning to their existence!
And sorry again if I came hard on Aquarius.... I believe it is because I was trying to bring out the positive aspect of Virgo.... and I accidentally diminished Aquarius. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Sat, November 1, 2008 - 8:56 AMAlso.... I am mostly Cancer and Virgo. The Aquarian value system is on the other side of the chart! I tend to get Aquarius and Sagittarius mixed up quite allot. If Im not mistaken Cancer and Virgo made a Yod with Aquarius (Finger of God). So I guess that means that I am supposed to point out the best and worse for the Age of Aquarius!
-
Re: aquarius vs virgos
Wed, December 16, 2009 - 3:01 PMAquarius likes to be abl to directly relate to someone. This is why friends are soo important. When it comes to family issues this is where problems can arise as a consequence since they have a hardtime "acting" accordingly in certain roles. Aquarius is a fixed sign and their character is the same no matter who they are confronting.

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Sat, November 1, 2008 - 9:58 AMAllan, thank you for bringing up some interesting points relating to some areas of strengths and weaknesses in both virgo and aquarius.
I tend to find there are often more similarities than differences, though sometimes both will focus on each other's weaknesses rather than encouraging each others strengths. This could be said of any of the signs, for all have areas that may be opposition (yin/yang) to one another and yet also be the same/similar.
Perhaps the discomfort comes when people begin to see similarities within each other and yet continue to cling to the differences as a sort of keeping autonomy or individuality. Being unique has an appeal, even though being a part of can also have a distinct attractiveness. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Sat, November 1, 2008 - 10:50 AMI love that Atalaya,
Last two people that I was in a relationship with... Liked me for my differences. Such as lines as, "I never met you before" . Your not like this and that (Both were Pisces, Libra Moons)(Yes, I got Sun at 2 Cancer, Neptune at 2 Capricorn... I don't even try to be different, Im just backwards and left-handed!). Its kind of backwards for my idea of attraction, because if I see someone that reminds me of someone I have met before, it brings back the old memories that bring me comfort. Also if I see someone who totally reminds me of someone else.... Like just too much. I tend to think about, or ponder about the relationship I had with this person.
See if this story/pattern is mimicking somewhere else.... Or about to approach!
History tends to repeat itself. But the telling of history is only for the victorious.
My only problem is.... how many people support their local communities, and how many people know their neighbors names?
At the Community College I go to... I live in Southern Oregon myself, it seems like everyone is right, and nobody is wrong. We all are right. Also all the talk about presidential level politics. It kinda tickles me because I grew up back in Detroit, where people are sadistic comedians at heart. They went more on the notion that we are fucked, so lets make the best of it!
In the city I live in.... its only 20,000 people and has 6 people running for the office of being the mayor! It just shocks me how disconnected people are from understanding how powerful local government is.
I don't know the candidates ether....(Since everything under the Sun, and gods green Earth is written in a catalog book, that takes hours to read). But the one who wants to make the bus come every 20 minutes opposed to 30... has my vote!
Maybe unique just means doing what you know the best :)
Utilizing your natural abilities, and applied skills. -

Sun, December 6, 2009 - 3:27 PMVirgoans tend to look upon water-cups as either "head-in-the-cloud" folks or bullies. Virgos tend to be more organized creatures, so my guess is that the Virgo sock drawer would be organized alphabetically by color or something. Aquarians have different, perhaps broader priorities IMO. -

I tend to like neat and orderly with a bit of surprise element.

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Mon, December 7, 2009 - 7:02 PMNobody wins. These signs usually find each other very attractive, (not only in a lustful manner). Aquarius are like walking art-forms. Virgo's are like patrons of the arts. I've never met a virgo women that I wasn't slightly attracted too. Aquarius is like science, and virgo is like religion. I think aquarius definitely win intelligence wise, but virgo's beat them spiritually. Aquarius is like Adam, and Virgo is like Eve. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, December 8, 2009 - 4:58 AMWhut? Virgoans can´t stand two signs: rams & aquarians! The former is disliked because of its crude rudeness & the latter cus its considered TOO WEIRD for the conservative Virgo, it´s like meeting some strange octopus making sucking sounds, li´l Virgo just cringe. And Aquarius is chaos, anarchy & abstract painting; Virgo is the science-mind who demands order & preciseness. Watercups probably will defeat Virgo in a "calculate-the-inner-measurements-of-a-septic-tank" math competition, but I think "the cups" will find THE ANALYZER rather hard to tussle with in other, more intellectual games... -

So the two signs inconjunct Virgo. That's interesting actually.
I don't think this would be representative of all virgos however, but its worth considering whether the signs inconjunct another do not get on.

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, December 8, 2009 - 5:17 AMIt´s an established "fact", not something I have suddenly invented. But I also feel it to be true, for me aquarians have been either "weird ones" or attention-seeking bullies best avoided. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, December 8, 2009 - 6:56 AMWe aquarians are the weird attention-seeking bullies? And you are in this tribe to be something other than a weird attention seeking bully? This just keeps getting better and better! -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, December 8, 2009 - 8:47 AMI don't care. YOU are an *annoying* Virgo. I'm not too fond of Christian Fundamentalism, but I don't join their tribe to tell them so in some tongue-in-cheek self-amusement crusade. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, December 8, 2009 - 3:25 PMAnger towards others often is repressed self-hate, many should seek counseling for this. These individuals are not capable of dealing with their feelings, their fellow men then are labeled "troublemakers". They feed on this like quarrelsome centipedes, their whole organism is yearning for a good bickering. No internal peace is possible before they had their "meal" & escaped this guilt by blaming others for their own foul tempers. But it´s never enough, they scream for more; soon the aggressive centipede is loose again in the garden, raging at peaceful butterflies & accusing the ladybirds of being warmongering sociopaths... -

Tue, December 8, 2009 - 3:47 PMOK.. why are people hating on Virgos? First of all we all have different signs and elements.. If i was only Aquarius sun venus mars etc... I would probably stick 2 my own sign But the truth is that we all have different signs and elements in us is .. I love Virogoreans their so neat...LOl -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, December 8, 2009 - 3:59 PMNo other sign is capable of unleashing so violent reactions in others with just mere words; they fear the maidens penetrating gaze, they don´t like it when their dirty laundry is inspected. From Hell, but with grace & manners. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Tue, December 8, 2009 - 7:31 PMMeh. I guess Virgos are just plain miserable, sterotypically speaking, and, seeing they wont be able to improve them or themselves EVER because theyre always criticizing, nitpicking, finding the next fault to find and the next impossible, unattainable, higher standard to meet, they insist on bringing everybody else down "with just mere words" and think they can make all things better by being, and proving, themselves useful, quiet, neat and clean.
Blah.Theyre just useful when put down to work. Like scrubbing a bathtub with a toothbrush (thanks for that one, I dont remember right now who said it originally).
Virgos are cool, I guess. Lets just not throw a Waterbeater and a Maiden together in a Astrological Deathmatch sort of thing. -

Fri, December 11, 2009 - 10:47 AM"Blah.Theyre just useful when put down to work. Like scrubbing a bathtub with a toothbrush"
My watercup father with virgo moon would scrub sink and bathtub with toothbrush. He changes bathroom towel and shirt daily and align all the shampoo bottles against the bathroom wall with all labels facing out. He has a whole package of visual sharpener, chisel and carving knife to FIX rosy-eared folks with blurry eye sights—aqua-maiden tools aim at visual flaw, such as uneven paint on the wall, craggy cement floor, crooked rails, water-stained stove…etc. Since maiden’s uncluttered realism coming from the watercup mouth sounds more like his own mild irritation than venomous truculence, bad eye- sight folks end up admitting the danger of letting things falling into disarray and chaos and feeling horrible about their own haphazardness.
This picky orderly tendency has passed onto the cancerian scorp offspring, but mutated into some thought sharpener, nitpicking on obscure crooked thoughts that have the implication of rotten privilege, power abuse or freedom infringement. -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Thu, December 17, 2009 - 9:33 AMVirgoans & water-cups have a beef! Over the years I´ve seen aquarians do sick stuff like displaying poo-stained toilet-paper (famous perverted behaviour, I guess?) in front of their neighbours window & "lending" others hired parking-lots (love of anarchy, I guess?). Virgoans consider such deeds as "punk-behaviour", at such moments they realize they´re dealing with scum without decency or respect for others. That´s the point where Virgo ends and Scorpio begins. Deranged attention-seeking outsiders with taste for "alternative lifestyles" are adviced not to knock on that door, it´s the wrong adress.

well how about having a Virgo stellium and Aqua Moon.....:).......I like having this combination. it's interesting. My ability to detach...has some people bothered cause I don't get manipulated into mind games..they don't like this...but I could give a shit
ps: my room is not organized but not digusting.......I'm def not the neatest person
I currently have a liking for an Aqua Sun and Cap Moon -

Thu, December 17, 2009 - 8:35 PM"My ability to detach...has some people bothered cause I don't get manipulated into mind games"
i feel that this description fits me as well. (Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, Virgo Rising - and stellium in Aquarius)
Also, "my room is not organized but not digusting.......I'm def not the neatest person"
i identify here too.
there have been a lot of stereotypes said about both Aquarius and Virgo in this thread, but making such general statements about people based on their sun sign seems silly to me, we all know that there is so much more involved. Thanks for showing that you are one of many exceptions to all of the over generalized, anti-virgo comments, Blue. :) -

Re: aquarius vs virgos
Fri, December 18, 2009 - 12:08 AMok thanks :)
well stereotypes are made to be broken....cause it's all baloney...but I do and can see the similarities between the two signs....Both Aqua and Virgos are known to be smart, funny, not overly emotional, caring ( in their own ways) , hardworking...also both are the humans of the Zodiac signs ..but also very different...I think that tolerance is needed to get these two signs to understand eachother.
By the way.....you should see my underwear draw....fill with the loudest colors ever...I look put together with my regular cloth on but underneath is something quite funny....some loud colors too...lol.....oh I love to shock people when I can ....
