Oh god, I am completely and UTTERLY head-over-heels for my Leo. However, he is a super mellow, emotionally healthy Leo. I've met some Leo's that had such an out-of-control ego that I couldn't stand to be around them for 5 minutes. My Love really has a good balance and he encourages me to honor myself when I might have a tendency to give WAY too much.

If by compatible you mean "doomed" then yes.

Leos are FAn-Tas-Tic, and they usually know it. Are usually high-maintenance.

Leos will not want to compete for the Aquarian's attention - which doesn't focus on just ONE person ALL the time.

Leos love their entourage/fans/followers - and Aquarians love their freedom, independence (read "not running with the herd").

I think it depends on the maturity of the Leo. It has been my experience that Leos around the age of 25 are very much into the "look at my things...look at what I have that you don't" phase. I've had 2 friends like this. Both I pointed out that it's not good to boast about the things that you have because they can be taken away at any time, therefore, boast only about your good character, which no man can taketh away! Both denied their braggart natures. Both went away and thought about it. One came back, and we're still good friends. The other, did not. I think as Leos get into their 30s and become wiser, as we all do, they can be worth the effort.

I'm a Leo chick with an Aquarius ascendant. I'm in a relationship with an Aquarian, and I can say that asking a question like "Are Leos very compatible with an Aquarius?" is not merely the wrong question to ask, it is wildly inaccurate. People are complex and it is unfair to reduce us to stock figurines -- we have all sorts of other factors involved.

I am compatible with my Aquarian guy: but it might be because his Aries moon is trine Neptune while my Pisces moon is trine Mars, or it might be because he has a Libra rising and I have Mercury, Virgo, and the sun in the 7th house, or it might be because I've got an Aquarius rising which sets off all sorts of bells and whistles for his Venus in Aquarius, or God knows what, all of those. Might even be the fact that he's got Mars in Cancer and I've got Scorpio Mars and we just love having lots of sex. The fact is, Leos and Aquarians are opposing signs, but they're still both pretty sociable people, and Leos are, for all of their theatrics, generous and warm people. You'd be hard pressed to find a Leo who doesn't genuinely mean well.

So while this Leo is compatible with that particular Aquarian ... it does not mean she is compatible with all Aquarians.
