Aquarius (January 20- February 18)

Ever since the major solar eclipse of February 6, you may have been experiencing a certain amount of upheaval in your life. That early February solar eclipse was to be the first of several to arrive in your sign. Two more eclipses are due two months from now: a solar eclipse in the sign opposite yours, in Leo, on August 1, highlighting a close relationship, and a full moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius on August 16, bringing a matter of great importance to fullness.

You may feel the effects of an eclipse at any time in the year after it appears, but typically most eclipses will deliver news fairly quickly. The closer your birthday falls to February 6, the more strongly you would be feeling the winds of change now.

Eclipses in Aquarius and Leo will continue to come by in 2009, too. There will be four eclipses that will affect you - two in Leo and two in Aquarius - and when they are over and done, you will have completely revitalized your life from top to bottom and from inside out. Eclipses have a way of sweeping out all that is of no future value in the blink of an eye. By subtracting certain things or relationships that have become outworn or all too convenient (but useless), eclipses shake us up and offer us new areas of growth and understanding.

That is not to say that adjustments will always be easy, but they are necessary and will ultimately be very fortunate for you. Jupiter, planet of gifts and luck, will arrive in Aquarius for the first time in 12 years and will stay 12 months. This is truly fantastic news! Jupiter will arrive in January 2009. Not only that, Jupiter will conjoin visionary, imaginative Neptune on several points in 2009, increasing your creativity and marketability by being what you do best - being original!

To receive the full extent of the goodies that Jupiter will deliver to you, you will need to leave a space for the universe to fill. Decide what you can delete in your life and what you truly want for yourself. This is a good time to think about these things, and the coming eclipses will help you make your plan.

For now, June will bring slow and gentle pacing, and that is precisely what you need. With the Sun in Gemini, a sign highly compatible to your air sign Aquarius, you will have time to become more comfortable with adjustments that you are soon about to institute.

Mercury will be retrograde much of June, however, a holdover from last month when Mercury first started to go out of phase on May 26. This planet of communication and commerce will not go direct until June 19, but not completely normalize its orbit until June 23.

Use June 23 as your starting date to begin your most important initiations. While Mercury is retrograde in the first three weeks of June, it is not wise to spend large sums of money (for a car, electronics, or property, for example), nor should you sign a contract or give your verbal agreement to any important new ventures. Don't try to speed up events or force things when faced with delays. Be patient - you will be glad you didn't act hastily later.

Until June fully begins to click to a faster beat on June 23, take time to nourish your private life. Give yourself permission to do a few things that YOU want to do, instead of responding only to others' needs. Of course you will want to be responsive to children, relatives, partners, friends, bosses, and clients, but to be of greatest assistance, you will need to take good care of yourself first.

The Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the new moon, due June 3, will light your house of romance, leisure activities, and pleasure. The good news is you will get a chance to indulge in several weeks of pure fun.

Pick up tickets to a concert, meet up with friends you've not seen in weeks or months for dinners or drinks, go shopping, visit a museum, or putter around your garden or kitchen. Creative hobbies will bring amazing results now. If you have children, have fun with them too by surprising your little ones with outings you'd also enjoy. If you can get the time off, June would be the perfect moment for a vacation - you won't miss anything that is happening back home or at the office!

If you were born on February 1 or within five days of this date, you will feel the beneficial effects of this new moon more than most.

It may help to know that July is due to become very busy for you at the office. Also, as mentioned earlier, August will bring more massive shifts from the coming eclipses in Aquarius and Leo. While you have your chance in June to fully let go and leave your cares behind, use it!

Here is something else to consider: I know you have pressing choices to make in coming weeks and months, but you won't make much progress with Mercury retrograde this month anyway, and that realization should cheer you. The environment in which you're operating is rapidly shifting. The facts you need will be forthcoming at month's end or later, in July.

That new moon, June 3 (plus two weeks), will open a window of opportunity to help you to meet new people, both for friendship and for romance. If you are single, this is the month that could easily become your number one month for love. This new moon in the fifth house is what you need to get introductions going, and Venus will cooperate with you too by gliding in Gemini from June 1 to 17. Summing up, you have a new moon, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all working hard for you - wow!

With Mercury retrograde in the same romantic / fun sector, you may re-contact an old lover to see if you can make a go of things again, possibly with some real success. Or, if you are happily linked now, you may find that you need to spend time talking about an old issue that one of you felt never got fully resolved. It's a good time to tackle these themes - you've got a shot at settling things to your satisfaction.

Your most romantic days of the month include: June 3, 6-7, 9, 21-22, 27, and 30.

One day to avoid: June 12 when Uranus will block Venus, a day when your best efforts at romance could turn disastrous. The following day, June 13, will challenge the Sun, so it won't be much better!

If you are attached, you may find the going rough with your partner in June because you will have Mars in opposition to your Sun, a trend that comes by once every two years. Admittedly, having Mars in Leo is not an easy placement for you to host. If you feel that your partner has been acting a bit self-involved and demanding lately, let's just say you aren't necessarily imagining things.

Before I continue, I want to underscore the fact that the place that Mars will be, the seventh house, rules ALL partners, not just steady, serious romantic partners and spouses. As you think about what may come up for you in June, keep in mind that Mars may bring a difficult business partner to your attention, or a highly aggressive competitor, detractor, or critic, but your romantic life may be smooth as silk. Good to know!

The universe does not send you Mars in Leo just to rile you up but to reveal certain areas that you will need to be aware of if you are to bring your relationship into better balance. If you are happily teamed up, whether in business or love, you might want to give your partner a little slack or a bit of time alone. He or she may be trying to sort out problems that have nothing to do with your relationship. In this case, showing a bit of compassion will go a long way.

If you have been in a legal dispute with a soon-to-be ex, business colleague, or other person, brace for this person to become a bit more combative this month. Alas, the seventh house was called the house of "open enemies" (but only when there is a thorny planet acting up, as you will have this month). You may not find you are beset with dealing with any partnership differences now, but if you do, at least you will get to know this person's true agenda. If Mars does not find any problems to show you, you will sail through this period fairly easily.

Fortunately you won't have to put up with this kind of relationship stress much longer, as Mars will move out of Leo on June 30. Mars first entered Leo last month, May 9, so you've had some experience with this trend last month. Take what you can from this period, either by getting on the same wavelength or seeing that you have to leave. Either way, Mars in Leo will help you build a stronger, happier life in the end.

As long as I am discussing thorny relationships, there is one other part of the month I need to discuss.

The full moon, June 18, is likely to bring a tense moment with someone close. Pluto will oppose the Sun from your friendship and romantic houses, and in this case a friend or lover may make you wonder why this person is being so demanding. Your friend or lover may give you unwanted advice or offer an opinion that hurts your feelings. In cases like this, you will probably have to push back. It could be a tense time when you feel quite wrung out. Everyone, of every sign, will have some problems with this particular full moon.

Alternatively, this full moon may bring a career matter to your attention, but if so, you will deal with the matter quickly and move on. Pluto rules your reputation, and although this planet will be acting a bit difficult at this point, suggesting someone may try to cast you in a bad light, you will gain superb help from stabilizing Saturn in a financial sector. Oddly enough, you may find ways to profit financially from this, most likely from an older executive. Mars will be on his best behavior too, and much to your surprise, you may find help from your agent, publicist, broker, partner, or other middleman. (As you see, partners this month will either be good as gold or complete terrors.)

If your birthday falls on February 18, you will find ways to make this episode work for you, despite the tensions you may feel. This full moon will fall in late degrees of Sagittarius, a fire sign that blends beautifully with your air sign Sun. So while the initial situation may rock you a bit, the outcome should be very positive.

Also this month, your ruler, Uranus, will go retrograde for several months beginning June 26. This indicates that your period for starting new ventures has temporarily closed until Thanksgiving, November 27. Center your attention on all that is currently on your plate, and develop those projects. The universe will work to focus you - you'll have plenty to be proud of later. After November 27, you will be able to add new projects to your roster. If you are already in talks, you can continue those talks, but if brand new ventures come up after June 26, you may be overloading yourself and not do as good a job on those new endeavors. Table those for later in the year if you can.

At month's end, June 30, there will be a superb aspect between Mars and Pluto that you will find very beneficial. This is why I feel you might be able to find a way to create a near-miraculous turnaround with some or all of the issues you face in June.

No doubt about it, June 30 will be your best career day of the month, so as you see, when it comes to June, the longer it takes to wrap up things, the better. Mercury is obscuring your vision - only later will you see all the changes that were to come.

Summary

If you've been craving more "me" time, you're in luck. Watch what occurs at the appearance of the new moon June 3 and in the two weeks that follow. If you are single and looking for love, introductions and invitations should please even the pickiest Aquarian. In fact, TWO intriguing love interests may enter your life this month, a wonderful dilemma that your friends will envy.

Attached? Your partner may be acting a bit weird and needy. You've had to look closely to see what is wrong. Is it something else in your partner's life that has made him or her cranky? Or, have you an issue you've not discussed? Mars in Leo will give you the time and inclination to get to the bottom of things to help you both bond closer.

However, if you are in a lawsuit or other dispute, you are likely to find the other side loud and aggressive. At work, your competitors may become a bit out of control. Don't let any of this throw you. You are a formidable competitor too, and if any sign can outwit the other side, it's you. You only need to put up with all this kind of relationship stress until June 30, at which time Mars will move on, and life will return to normal.

Mercury will be retrograde from June 1 to 19, suggesting that, if single, you may want to try to rekindle a former relationship. If you want to make contact, do so while Venus is so beautifully angled to your Sun, in the first three weeks of June. No guarantees - but you can try if you like.

I forgot to mention earlier that this would be a banner month for your creativity. You may hunker down in solitude to work on an ongoing project dear to you, or you may get news that the perfect assignment is about to be offered to you. If the latter proves to be true, the endeavor would be one you will be quite excited to take on.

If you are an artist, actor, musician, or dancer, or are otherwise involved in creative expressions, you can afford to take a few risks now - and that is something you generally love to do!

Sign papers or accept an agreement on June 23 or 24, two great days that will help you foster long-term gains (thanks to Saturn's interaction with the Sun.)

One friend, partner, or other close relationship may be the source of angst on the full moon, June 18. Be forewarned - this person's aggressive stance may stun you. If you get domineering advice that you feel is inappropriate, or if you find you are being urged to accept an idea alien to you, let all those demands fall on deaf ears. No need to explain why you won't agree to this - this person will have to do the explaining to you! Admittedly, this incident may make you wonder why you are spending time with this individual in the first place. If you like, speak your mind. You may find it impossible not to do so!
