have been reading Susan Miller's horoscope for this year and she is persistent in saying that the alignments are conducive to meeting and finding that one true love for Aquarians..
what are your thoughts on this - analyses, observations, experiences? is there anymore information on this notion around?

Re: true love in 2009
Fri, October 2, 2009 - 9:15 PMIn the October forecast thread I said that the transits she gave for my Sun sign (Leo) are not consistent with my astro.com transit chart, so I have to wonder. I don't see how transiting Saturn can be moving out of my 2nd House when it is still in my 1st House, yet to move into my 2nd.

Re: true love in 2009
Sat, October 3, 2009 - 4:21 AMYea she keeps talking about meeting our "true love." I wouldnt put to much excitement on it, since there always seems to be a catch with that sort of thing. Maybe its someone you meet and dont actually have a realtionship with untill years from now. She has said that we may meet our true love, but doesnt mean that it will be a true love now.
Also, what if the feeling isnt mutual...or maybe its my Venus squared Pluto that makes me jaded in this realm. *shrugs* -

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 2:20 PM"LOVE, n. A temporary insanity curable by marriage or by removal of the patient from the influences under which he incurred the disorder. This disease, like caries and many other ailments, is prevalent only among civilized races living under artificial conditions; barbarous nations breathing pure air and eating simple food enjoy immunity from its ravages. It is sometimes fatal, but more frequently to the physician than to the patient."

Re: true love in 2009
Sun, November 15, 2009 - 9:13 AMI imagine virgoans & aquarians may have a barren lovelife in common, both these signs are not really made for romance? Virgoans isolate themselves like reclusive moviestars & water-cups seem to be a bit too interested in flying saucers or technical stuff, white haired mad-professor style, to really be kinda suited for the game of love... -

Re: true love in 2009
Mon, November 16, 2009 - 4:18 AMVirgos, like the air signs - though particularly Aquarius - thinks too much about what love is and what it should be. Virgo particularly, notices when it is 'not right'. It's part of the Virgo repertoire after all to spot disorder, highlight it and create a system that takes care of it. Unfortunately all this 'meddling' and thinking and fault finding only leads, ultimately, to a suddenly perplexed Virgo for what he finds himself alone. Aquarius is far too 'busy' with Very Important Work like saving the world, talking about the food crises in Africa, saving rainforests, discussing the minutiae of political debate and dreaming up inventions/ideas/schemes/utopias of how it could all be fixed, far too busy to remember about those little things like telling his wife he loves her, having a little cuddle and buying her flowers. In fact, to Aquarius, a good partner is one that is not emotionally demanding. Peculiar considering how emotional Aquarius is himsef underneath all that thinking. Aquarius will be the one who is emotionally crushed, then say "oh its fine, i knew it wasn't going to work because of (insert logical reasoning here) and so I'm totally fine" - i.e. feel a difficult emotion, understand why they're feeling it and then try to 'blink' it out of existence. Of course by blink it away we really mean repress or dissociate. Not always true of course, and I'm being purposely exaggerative, but the point is there I think.
Virgos are just far too good by far at fault finding and recognising when something isn't quite right, and quite often get so lost in that they don't know when to be spontaneous and how to open up to those scary chaotic 'missed a step' feelings when falling in love. Aquarius is too busy thinking about falling in love, too busy thinking about universal love, to actually remember to practice it when the offer is there.
In both cases several have mistaken sex for love. Virgo is the Virgin and Whore equally. -

Re: true love in 2009
Mon, November 16, 2009 - 11:53 AM"I dont know any aquarians that are out saving the world, I dont know many personally that are into universal love either. "
Dig a bit deeper and its nearly always there. They may be 'saving the world' from the comfort of their own homes by way of not actually doing anything, but they'll always feel they're contributing in some way, normally by having the 'right' idea about what to do. They also talk about truth a lot too. -

Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 11:42 AMI have been thinking about this post...
*I AM* doing something that I feel is a way to better the world....sustainable agriculture is a viable solution to a great deal of the world's problems.
I came away from the conference I attended this month with an even greater sense of how sustainable agriculture is a key component of the possible solutions.
I want to grow more (sustainable) farmers, that is why I am planning a permaculture demonstration farm. Our food quality lacks in nutritional value; agriculture is the second biggest user of fossil fuel, (behind transportation) and uses 80% of the water used in the US.
More, smaller bioculture farms would bring food closer to the consumer, get it out of corporate hands, improve the quality of food, save water, and doesn't use chemical fertilizers that are made from fossil fuels and are toxic to the environment . I would also like to see public opinion change in regard to how farmers are viewed, returning honor to the trade, because it is a task worthy of honor... -
-
Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 11:50 AMGood for you FaF. Every little thing helps. I think ever Aquarius has their "pet project". Sustainable farming is important.
I think if you really look closely you'll see similar in most Aquarius people i think. -
-
Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 1:03 PMGood to hear the conference went so well FaF and that you came away with further understanding and support of your ideas and feel good about the potentials to be found/realized in sustanable farming.
My memories of living on a farm back in the day, is that farmers go out of their way to help other farmers and neighbors and vice versa.
The two farm(s) were created by a Virgo and an Aries matirarchial partnership, with my siblings (related and extended) and I doing what we could as part of the family group. It was quite a back to the land living experience. I feel those years were good and I notice my siblings tend to look fondly on those years as well.
Contemplation: The land has a way of becoming a part of one, it grows, you grow, it flourishes, you flourish, it fades, you fade, it dies, you die. Farming, a way of life. -
-
Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 1:35 PMAttie, that sounds like a nice experience you had in a extended family...
I hope to create a similar situation, but ultimately the farm would be a school, where others would come to learn sustainable farming techniques, including but not limited to: sustainable building, alternative energy, water catchment and conservation, permanent agriculture, or permaculture, and food preservation. . -
-
Re: true love in 2009

Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 1:06 PMAttie
Who was that post directed to? Me?
No sign is all about peace love and happiness. There's a 'mad scientist' to Aquarius too as well a ends justifies the means mentality from time to time. There's also a repressed little Leo inside every Aquarius that craves to be noticed for its ideas and what it can offer. Normally Aquarius has a flash of insight, a vision of a perfect world - that's the Uranus part. We're used to almost suggesting that Aquarius IS Uranus. You see things like shocking, forward thinking, eccentric etc. which are all true, but they are only the Uranus part of the equation. Saturn co rules Aquarius and with Aquarius, the fixed of the air signs, you get fixed ideas on how things should be. It is no longer, this would be a perfect world, its, my vision for the world is perfect etc etc. It can be very inflexible. But every sign has its pros and cons, its strengths and weaknesses. But as a person, with free will, we can normally choose our own actions, it just might be that we choose a bit of both as most of us do. You'll see Aquarius described as shocking, that's more Uranus. Aquarius can sometimes shock, but its nearly always by accident, its seldom shocking for the sake of shocking. Often it can be shocking for the sake of 'waking' up the other person though. -

Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 1:24 PMI find it interesting that *my* Aquarian ideals lead me to rather old fashioned, earth based ideas that need to be resurrected. My Grand Earth trine (Taurus Moon, Capricorn Mercury, Virgo Pluto/Uranus) at work perhaps? -

Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 10:24 PM"What made you take your ideas seriously? Was it a new idea/dream or one you had all along? "
Since I was a child I have wanted to live simply. I find I enjoy working outdoors with earth, people, plants and animals, and I enjoy the satisfaction that comes with producing my own goods, and seeing a job completed.
For much of my early adult life it seemed it would be no more than a pipe dream and I kinda put it up on a shelf.
Mid life finds me in a previously unimaginable situation of land ownership. I've been exploring what, exactly would be suitable for this property for about 6 years. I became interested in alternative energy when a nearby power co requested easements for a wind farm. (The wind project has since been dumped)
Later, when I was actively exploring various possibilities, A tribe friend introduced to the concept of permaculture. I have studied the concepts quite a lot, and expect to study and practice more. I really began to take my ideas seriously when THEY WOULD NOT GO AWAY. There I am in chemistry class and all I want to learn is permaculture...it is where my heart is and my passion lies.
It has been a challenge in my (new) local area to maintain energy for my ideas. I find people here are not aware of the challenges we face, nor do they understand the possible solutions. This adversity has required me to refine my vision into a verbal language they can relate to, and has been a valuable experience that I was not expecting....I sometimes get frustrated, but usually something happens that gives a a lift, or jolt of faith. looking fear square in the eye...I came to a point that I realized that the fear of not doing my project was greater than the fear of doing it. I asked myself "when I am 70 years old, a I going to regret trying my ideas? Or will I regret NOT trying my ideas?" -

Thu, November 19, 2009 - 3:01 PMStrange that nobody mentions the "horror quality" in aquarius, it´s really the only other "terrifying" sign besides the scorpian crew. Most see this bald spectacled academic type one imagines will sprout antennas from the forehead any second. I see the guy standing in his shadow: florid, perverse imagination, evil not amoral, playful & with intelligence enough to compete against any mercury sign. Somebody who, like the worst baddies in movies, wants destruction just to be able to look at the gaudy flames or see which consistency all that red really has. -

Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 3:15 PMMy father was an Aquarius. A gentler, kinder, more devoted person I have yet to meet. He was interesting in that he was as driven as he was congenial as he was analytical. He treated my Taurus mother as though she were his queen, and he was gentle and sweet with me. He loved to laugh and laughed very heartily at himself. His passion was work, and it didn't matter what kind. That in a way was what eventually killed him. He was over-engined for his hull. -

Re: true love in 2009
Thu, November 19, 2009 - 10:03 PMAs some are so gosh-darn impressed by that world saving speech, mantic beings with owls on shoulders are able to redress some aquarius’ infirmities and delusion. Technologically speaking, Aquarius microscope can’t match scorpio gama ray , and astrologically speaking aquarius is less able to create order and structure than crabs and virgos. The corrupt acolyte is crumbling with faltered dreams about saving the world.
I haven’t seen any bloody fascist in history without heavy Taurus. Aquarius might be liberal in heart, but like I said it could be diluted by moon. Diluted watercups are best in making sanctimonious awe-inspiring speech that moves little men to tears and shouting trolls when confronting intellectual threat. Only the manly manly man will be able to withstand the aural onslaught for the little people. Sluggard monks set rigid rules on others but themselves with tarnished mirror on the wall. Let’s all embrace that image with eyes shot! -

Fri, November 20, 2009 - 1:39 AM"Technologically speaking, Aquarius microscope can’t match scorpio gama ray , and astrologically speaking aquarius is less able to create order and structure than crabs and virgos."
Scorpios are like an x-ray, they see beneath the surface. But Aquarius is co-ruled by Uranus - a radioactively linked planet (uranium).
As for order structures, I can totally see why you would associate Virgo with this. Structure aside, nothing does 'order' as well as Virgo and they're pretty good at building structures - but mental ones rather than physical ones. However, the true 'structure' types are Cap and Taurus, followed closely by Aquarius. Aquarius is co-ruled by Saturn after all. So the earth signs and Aquarius do structure the best. I would have said Cancer did structure poorly unless its borrowing from its opposite sign, which does sctructure par excellance.
"I haven’t seen any bloody fascist in history without heavy Taurus. Aquarius might be liberal in heart, but like I said it could be diluted by moon."
I think Taurus moon is one the more sensitive actually. They want the simple things in life and really just want some food and security. You'll nearly always find the only thing they really obsess over is the weeds in the garden and making sure the fridge is full. I can't see taurus moon as being fascist.

Yeah, but I have no sympathy for her one way or another. She's a big girl now, and seeing how she's uses English, she's better off speaking horse.

Not bad for having three scotches under my belt at the time. I don't use 'buffoon' often, as so few people seem to deserve the title. Laux is an exception, and therefore she will always be a bafoon to me.

Silliness aside, I don't think any sign or signs or combinations of planets show a fascist, however there are certain signs more likely to want something done their own way than to compromise, but that's the sign, not the person who has the sun, moon asc etc IN that sign. It's also unfortunate that the signs don't make a habit of disappearing for the moment of our births, so we all have aquarius somewhere as well as capricorn and libra and all the rest, so if you use whole or equal house system you'll also have a whole house/area of life being ruled by that sign.
