Well for better or worse, I do participate in a few different ways on Tribe. Some positive, some negative; some constructive; some subversive

and have for going on 3.5 years

I come across people who've been around a comparatively long time on Tribe and never say a fucking word, and never have.

If there is nothing but the same few individuals within a tribe participating in a conversation (and often engaging in a familiar social dynamic), "the social networking" aspect of a social networking site is a limited thing, and we can all sit around and look at our respective representations of self and pretend to talk about quiant things like community....and shit like that.

This of course does not take into account or look at the nature of self-representation in creating a profile.
