I'm posting this because of a post that was made in another thread.
This Aquarian hates head games!! I dislike people who play me and can't come out & get to the point so we can enjoy each other. In my life, I need to face things directly, straight on, no matter if it's something I like or dislike. Let's deal with it and move forward!!
If you want me...say so. If you dislike me...leave me alone and don't pretend you do, I've got better things to attend to in my life...you'll be off the stove in an instant without a second thought and less for me to be concerned about. (anyone understand that?) If you want something...just ask. If you're mad at me...geez, tell me, let's work it out. Even if you think I'm an ass...tell me, we'll work on that too. lol, coz if you don't say anything about nothing, everything's gonna stay the same and our life is gonna be in turmoil for as long as you aren't honest with me.
Openness is so important in relationships, for the good or bad. It's all about bringing it to the table and makin' life better!
How do you other Aquarians feel? Or other signs, how do you deal with us in situations?

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 9:06 AMIf you ask a direct question, try not to be surprised when you receive a direct and honest answer.
If you ask an vague question, try to understand you'll likely receive a vague response/answer.
If you're having trouble communicating, then include that in phrase in your communication, "I am having trouble figuring out what I want to say, .....blah, blah, etc."

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 10:41 AMTHANK YOU
This is my number one problem with other people. People who dont know or dont say what the fuck it is that they want. I am not a dammned mind reader and I dont play games.

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 10:58 AMhaha yessssssss same here!!!
i stand very strong when i say that if i need something that i am not getting..... or if someone in my life needs something from me that they aren't getting you have to SPEAK UP and say so.
and i am with you in the "if you want me say so and if you dislike me leave me alone and don't pretend you do".
openness is very important to me too. i really feel like i need to express things and that other people needs to express things to me so we can get that out of the way and have fun/enjoy each other. bringin' it to the table like you said.

Mon, December 8, 2008 - 11:15 AMCASSIE, I've never understood why people have to put on a front that their ok with you when they actually hate your guts. Just leave me the fuck alone...that'd be GREAT with me!! I'd rather never have to talk to you again than put up with your false face.

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 2:10 PMI agree. Don't pretend around me, I don't have time to waste!!
I don't need someone to pretend they like me. We can just be civil around each other, but I hate small talk and pointless acquaintances. Let's all be REAL.
Sure, sometimes I get shy and can't say everything that I really want to, but usually I will say "Hey, I'm feeling shy and my tongue is jumbled, hang on a second..." I'll at least let people know what is going on!

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 2:18 PMAhhh...Aquarians ranting ~ rather a departure from the detached personna people usually attribute to Aquarians. Just goes to show that even Aquarians have their limits when it comes to certain buttons being pushed too often.
Yessiree ~ there is nothing like "the direct approach," as my triple Taurus friend is fond of saying. Tempered with manners and tact, of course. Rudeness and hostility are not requirements of the direct approach. Well, if we really are entering the Aquarian age, maybe society(ies) will lean more toward the direct approach than toward the dishonest approach, the results of which we have all too clearly seen any number of times. ~ Did that sound Aquarian enough? ~ -

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 2:53 PMOne of my best friends,,an aquariun woman is exactly what an another aquarian
person is commenting about,,,some aquarians are such people pleasers
and try to avoid any thing that even is confronting that she is an enabler,,,and
when i bring it up even as she complains about it she'' only want to
hear cheery things,,,I'm libra sun and they're people pleasers even more
tho my taurus moon will stand up and speak out,,and there are times
when I feel it isn't the sign as much as how we are rounded as people
and what we will tolerate as whats acceptable regarding boundaries,,, -

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 5:09 PMI'm guilty, in my earlier years I was likely a people pleaser. I find the older I get, the less likely I'm willing to do things to please other people. I likely still have a tendancy towards pleasing, course that could be related a bit with the virgo moon influence and the libra ascending wanting to create balance. -
-
Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 5:12 PMNo doubt. I still have my moments with Virgo rising and Mercury in Virgo. My Aquarian Moon has helped a great deal.

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Mon, December 8, 2008 - 5:21 PMIf I find I am doing a behavior that I may feel like complaining about in others, I tend to also look within and see if I am also doing similar things myself. How can I expect other people to recognize themselves if I dont also recognize myself reflected.
I've met plenty of aquarians who are wishy washy in their communication styles, yet I've also met ones who are brief and to the point. I am a dash or two of both and splatter or two of other areas. -

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Wed, December 10, 2008 - 10:25 AMI'm an aquarian sun but have a lot of scorpio in me...
hmmm, tend to play games, cough cough. Not with liking people though, you will know straight out when I don't like you.
That being said.... Don't really like aquarians much. A lot of them are pumped full of shit.
I agree with the post before me. I see people and see reflections in myself. If there is something that I don't like, and I'm complaining about it, I am probably seeing it in myself in some sort of way.
If you don't want someone to beat around the bush, and you don't do anything about it... You are beating around the bush yourself -

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Wed, December 10, 2008 - 12:20 PMGood points Shawn. Axl Rose is an aquarian, and he is definitely pumped full of shit.
There are a lot of aquarians I dont like, but I just chalk that up to not liking most people in general. -

So how is Mercury (planet of communication) affected by which birth sign is placed within it?

Thu, December 11, 2008 - 9:21 AM"Axl Rose is an aquarian, and he is definitely pumped full of shit. "
Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin are Aquarians too!
We, as Aquarians, are definitely not ALL visionaries of the future... or, well, Dick and Sarah might actually have some kind of future vision, but it's certainly not in alignment with MY vision. hahaha :) -

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Fri, December 12, 2008 - 2:33 PMWait a minute. This is an Aquarius tribe. I promise you that as a Leo, I definitely will be watching this and reporting to the misguided, if they seem to be such ~ most other signs think that Aquarians are rather emotional anaemic, however, I know better because I have an Aquarian Moon conjunct Chiron. Look at it this way, just because you are an Aquarian doesn't mean that your Moon, Mars and Venus are Aquarian, does it? -
-
Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 11:00 AM"just because you are an Aquarian doesn't mean that your Moon, Mars and Venus are Aquarian, does it?"
Of course not, but does a birth chart with every planet in aquarius mean they are emotionless?
Your post sounded protective amiable hermit. This IS an aquarius tribe. Point being? -

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Sun, December 28, 2008 - 11:08 PMI think you misunderstand me. What I am saying is that because Aquarians come across as detached and unemotional, other signs figure they don't feel anything, which is absurd. I have an Aquarian Moon. I know better. LOL!

Sun, December 28, 2008 - 9:21 PMSo what are some good ways to test the waters with new aquaintances or friends? Do you have a tried and true method (a kind of litmus test) that works? Or do you keep an open frame of reference? -

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Sun, December 28, 2008 - 10:12 PMIf you mean for connection of many kinds?
Well yeah:
maybe something like friendly and open, and communicative and not attached to an outcome...........kinda thing.
I can usually get an idea of whether there is a connection in about 2 seconds; I can also get a sense that something more might deepen if given a chance, but that invariably doesn't
Another part of the strategy is to not get bitter about it if it doesn't happen.
Or, one can suddenly become shallow and stupid; friend whore everyone they come across and then feel connected with other in a real special like manner...and then have a policy of no more friends because all 500 of your friends you're on real close and personal terms with and you really don't need anymore.
That appears to be one prevailing sensibility that is........................not my own.
But, to each his or her own. -

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Sun, December 28, 2008 - 10:20 PMOne other thing:
this Tribe thing:
is not a substitute or a crutch for real connection in real life
In the end, I think it's unhealthy.
Hard as it might be and feel sometimes, it's those connections IRL - fleeting and as far in between as they might be or seem to be - that sustain parts of our spirit.

Re: Head Games and Beating-'round-the-Bush
Sun, December 28, 2008 - 10:27 PMThat's true, real life, real connections.
I do notice a big difference in peoples willingness to connect in real life in present time.

Doesn't row my one-oar boat.
Do watch the Mad Men series I sent you - it provides a really sharp commentary about how modern societal norms and values might have been formulated and reinforced in this country. It might also include something about our respective social roles to some degree. -

Now I've reloaded some software so now I ought to be able to watch these as well. Looks like they will have quite an interesting collection of viewpoints.
I've really enjoyed watching most of the rest, I'll have to look and see what else I may have missed inadvertantly.
Thanks a bunch V.

Show definitely has interesting cast of characters and relationship interplay. Just to think, how many folks may have been raised by folks similar to the ones portrayed. Course then what about the parents of the parents... ;-)
How much of today's Americana societial 'norms' or 'abnorms' could just be acts of advertisement and getting the populace to conform to status quo? Quite a few it would seem.
